Hheartbreaker “Bella the Buffalo” (Dahess x TC Break Dancer)

 Bella the Buffalo is a beautiful dapple grey mare with a very laid back personality. She is the older half sister to our Dancinginthemoonlyte out of Dahess. Dahess is a leading race track sire in Europe. Her mother is TC Breakdancer, daughter to leading sire and Racing Hall of Fame member *Wiking.

Heidi and Bella completed their first limited distance ride in January 2017 at Broxton Bridge Plantation in 8th place. A Top Ten finish in her first race. Heidi was able to drop tack and walk right to the pulse timer. Amazing for this young horse. She was rock solid down the trail and virtually at the same temperament as Riku was at in his prime. We are looking to slowly develop her into the endurance distances.

In 2018 Bella and Heidi started with back to back Best Conditions at the Sandhills 50 mile and a First Place and Best Condition at the Biltmore 55 mile. Heidi and Bella did not make speed a priority, just happened to have a good day and stay ahead of the competition. Bella and Heidi completed their first 75 mile ride in the fall.

Tom and Bella teamed up in 2019 competing at Leatherwood 50, Iron Mountain Jubilee 50, Broxton Bridge 50 and Sandhills 55. Bella and Tom took it easy to get to know each other in the first couple of rides. At Broxton Bridge Tom and Bella competed in the North American Endurance Championship 1* (50 miles) on the USA Team. Bella was strong and maintained position ahead of the closest rival team to secure a Gold Medal in the Team Competition. Bella, fresh off the Gold came back to close out the 2019 season with a 2nd place finish and Best Condition award at the Carolina 55, a classic post Thanksgiving ride.
