We recommend feeding a “NON-MEDICATED” starter/grower feed until your pullets are 4 months old. Note- it must be non-medicated because your pullets have been vaccinated against coccidiosis and we do not want to harm the healthy gut biome they have developed. At 4 months switch over to laying pelletsSupplement with crushed oyster shells. You do not need to buy grit.

Do they need heat?

All chickens seem to have a “sweet tooth”- our flock especially enjoys watermelon, grapes, bananas, strawberries and tomatoes. Please do not give avocados - they are toxic. Avoid onion like vegetables as they can flavor the eggs
