At about 5 to 6 months old. Eggs start out small and gradually increase to their normal sizes.

We recommend feeding a “NON-MEDICATED” starter/grower feed until your pullets are 4 months old. Note- it must be non-medicated because your pullets have been vaccinated against coccidiosis and we do not want to harm the healthy gut biome they have developed. At 4 months switch over to laying pelletsSupplement with crushed oyster shells. You do not need to buy grit.

The pullets are fully feathered and no longer require supplemental heat, though they do best in a draft-free coop

Refund policy: We hope you won't have to cancel but we understand that things change. Cancel anytime up to 2 weeks before pickup date for a complete refund less 3% processing fees. For late cancellations (defined as 2 weeks or less until pickup), you will be refunded 50% of your payment amount.
All chicks are from an NPIP-accredited hatchery, certified free of Avian Influenza and Salmonella. Pullets are fully vaccinated at the hatchery prior to shipping for Marek’s Disease and Coccidiosis.
All chickens seem to have a “sweet tooth”- our flock especially enjoys watermelon, grapes, bananas, strawberries and tomatoes. Please do not give avocados - they are toxic. Avoid onion like vegetables as they can flavor the eggs
